About Us

Our Mission

HARIT (Haryanvis in Texas), is a Texas-based nonprofit organization dedicated to building a strong, connected community through cultural, educational, social, and charitable initiatives. Since its founding in 2018, HARIT has brought people together by hosting vibrant celebrations of cultural festivals such as Teej, Holi, Makar Sankranti, and Diwali, while fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for individuals and families from diverse backgrounds across Texas—especially in North Texas.

Guided by a vision to create a thriving and supportive ecosystem, HARIT focuses on strengthening community bonds, supporting families, and providing opportunities for personal and professional growth. The organization also collaborates with other nonprofits to contribute to broader community development and enrichment.

Beyond cultural programming, HARIT is deeply committed to community service. Its initiatives include organizing food drives for the homeless at The Samaritan Inn in McKinney, leading street clean-up efforts to promote environmental responsibility, celebrating International Women’s Day to empower women, participating in Memorial Day observances to honor service members, and hosting Thanksgiving breakfasts for first responders. Through these efforts, HARIT continues to build a more compassionate, engaged, and connected community.
